Governor's Project
Hello Michigan CKI!
After careful consideration, I am proud to present my Governor’s Project for the 2026–2027 service year: CKI Serves Kids!
This Governor’s Project is a movement dedicated to ensuring that youth in our communities, our country, and around the world have a fighting chance to see and experience the opportunities that many of us have been fortunate enough to receive.
This initiative should encourage clubs and members to step outside their comfort zones of serving primarily within their own age group and instead build meaningful connections with the younger generation through service. This can take many forms—from reading to elementary and middle school students to promote literacy, to hosting a winter clothing drive for children in need, or even collecting plastic water bottles and soda cans, then donating the proceeds to the UNICEF USA Brick x Brick Initiative to help build classrooms for children in underserved communities around the world.
Each of these acts not only supports the children you serve but also strengthens our communities and invests in the future of the next generation. Even if some of these projects feel challenging or time-intensive, supporting your local Key Club, K-Kids, or Builders Club also contributes to this initiative and makes a meaningful impact.
In addition to this project, we will recognize the club with the highest number of service hours dedicated to CKI Serves Kids at our District Convention.
